Oh, dear, where did 2012 go? I haven't done anything fannish since I posted by 2011 round-up at the start of the year.
It's been a fairly hectic year - workwise, with six teachers on maternity leave and not enough funds to get cover in for all of them and a not-unrelated promotion I didn't really want. In real life, I had a final falling out with my useless landlady, and had to relocate fairly quickly over the summer, and I didn't get a working internet connection back until mid-November, by which time I was drowning in Nanowrimo woes.
All that, of course, means I missed the sign ups for absolutely everything, and currently have no fest fics lined up. I'm waiting for the tsunami of Yuletide pinch hit requests to start, but may well have time on my hands once the holidays start. If anyone needs a beta read or pinch hit after the 14th, let me know.
Despite all of that, I have written more in the last six months than I have in the last three years before that. I decided to take note of some of the writing skills I'd learned in fandom and try my hand at original m/m romance and now I can't stop the words from pouring out. It's wonderful and I'm enjoying every second of it.
