camelotsolstice reveals are up! I wrote Days of Old and Days to Be (Regency AU, R, 18100 words, Arthur/Merlin, Gwen/Lancelot).

I'm going to answer comments and talk about it in a little more detail at the weekend when I have a bit more free time (I've been aching to talk about the challenges of historical AUs for weeks and weeks now), but for the moment I'm just going to say that I've been flailing gleefully over the response to this for weeks. This fandom just keeps astounding me.

I was also delighted with The Woes of Kings and their Advisers which pasty_pants wrote for me. <3

Hi! I just added you because ohmygod, that fic was so beyond brilliant and perfect and wonderful, you have no idea. Like, seriously, regency!AU, while a favorite of mine, is not where I would have gone with the poem, but you made it amazing, and I am so in love with your Arthur characterization, and your Morgana, and your Merlin, and just everything ever about that fic. ^_^ Thank you for introducing me to that poem. It's been haunting me to the extent that I want to write it into a hundred different AUs. I started off thinking about a modern AU, but I didn't have any ideas I could do justice to in the time, so I started playing around with other time periods where I could make the banter work and then saw nineteenth century literature on your interests. It was one of those fic ideas which you just think about for a day and everything clicks into place, as if it wanted to be written. I loved doing it.
