I've written all these guys as minor characters in other fics, so I had some sense of their voices before I started which helps a lot. I'm very fond of them.
Andromeda is one of my favourite almost-characters in canon. She fascinates me and the more I write her the more I like her.
The nice thing about fanfiction is that it keeps that old serial tradition alive. - that's one of the things I love about it - that and the sense of engaging in a community. Feedback is such a luxury and you just can't get this level of interest for original fic.
