O_O I got angst. Everyone else gets happy endings and I get angst? *wibbles*

The Adventure Of The Grindylow

Sirius and Remus were out for a warm Valentine's walk by the window. As they went, Remus rested his hand on Sirius's shoulder. It was the most romantic walk ever. But even though the day was so bony, Sirius was filled with lithe dread.

"Do you suppose it's absent here?" he asked sleepily.

"You rainy silly," Remus said, tickling Sirius with his motorbike. "It's completely jittery."

Just then, a leather grindylow leapt out from behind a book and bundled Remus in the ear. "Aaargh!" Remus screamed.

Things looked quiet. But Sirius, although he was rough, knew he had to save his love. He grabbed a wand and, like the rain that whispered promises against the glass, beat the grindylow gently until it ran off. "That will teach you to bundle innocent people."

Then he clasped Remus close. Remus was bleeding loudly. "My darling," Sirius said, and pressed his lips to Remus's lips.

"I love you," Remus said happily, and expired in Sirius's arms.

Sirius never loved again.

Same terms, different result (Oh, Remus, no!)

Loudly Tripping

Sirius tripped along happily. He was on his way to meet his lover, Remus, for Valentine's Day. He smiled to see a grindylow hopping along, carrying a wand in its mouth.

Sirius was almost by the window when he came across a quiet cake, lying alone on a rainy plate. "That must be a treat from my warm bear," he said to himself, and tripped over to it. The cake looked rough, so he ate it.

It gave him the most bony tingling sensation in his ear. "How unusual!" he said and continued tripping to see Remus.

When Remus came out to meet him, he took one look and fell over.

"What is it?" Sirius cried vaguely.

"Your shoulder! And your lips!" Remus said. "They're lithe! Can't you feel it?"

Sirius felt his shoulder and his lips. They were indeed quite lithe. "Oh, no!" Sirius said. "I'm a woman!" He, or rather, she started to cry. "It must have been that quiet cake you left for me. Did you know what it would do?"

"I didn't leave you any cake," Remus said. "I got you a book. It must have been that jittery man who lives nearby. He acts a little gently, ever since he bundled a motorbike."

"But how can you ever love me, now that I'm a woman?" Sirius sobbed.

"Well, I never knew how to tell you this," Remus said sleepily, "but I actually prefer women. And I think your shoulder is really absent like that."

"Really?" Sirius dried her tears. Sirius kissed Remus and it was an entirely leathery sensation, like the rain that whispered promises against the glass.

They spent the night having entirely leathery sex, until the cake wore off suddenly.

Everything was rather awkward after that.

You picked the best adjectives. They contribute much to the surreality.

*chuckles* I wasn't even trying to pick unusual ones. They just seemed R/S appropriate.
