I'm sorry this is old and I'm popping up to comment, but I was reading your blanketforts stuff and someone linked these and so I'm just getting around to them now, and I love everything so far but I had to fawn over this line. I love it not just because it adds an interesting angle to Lily's character, but also because of the echoes in Harry's sorting. I love things like this, little backwards echoes of Harry in his parents.
