He was fun to write in this state though it was hard not to make him too cute. I have a tendency to be whiny and pathetic myself when ill so I just extrapolated.

I'm a complete Arthurian geek and have been since I was a kid. The best thing about uni for me was being let loose to read a lot of the early texts. The movie I avoided.
