Thanks. I'm one of those that assume that wizarding society is more comfortable with homosexuality, purely because for Purebloods marriage is a business arrangement and often fairly loveless. In that situation homosexual affairs would be less condemned than heterosexual ones because they're less likely to compromise the bloodline. Uncle Alphard is a scandal because he didn't do his duty and procreate before he ran off. There's still prejudice but it's of the sneers and raised eyebrow type. What Sirius is upset about is that he's in this mess with a friend.
