Reservoirs (Day 27)

is here

Why, look who was hiding behind the curtain. Gosh. I've been aiming for this situation since about day three, though I wasn't expecting the painted castle then. It's time for a certain young couple to defy Voldemort. Oh, and the back-up team have barricaded themselves into their bedroom. Oops.

I suppose I could just go to bed now, and write the next chapter in the morning. It is almost midnight.

I'm not 100% sure exactly what happens next, to be honest, but I'll work it out by the time the kettle's boiled. Caffeine is my friend, and I want to catch up and finish this damn story on time.

scumsucker is a Beedle the Bard reference - it's one of the seventeenth century 'fruity epithets' for pro-Muggle wizards. The one thing I am disappointed about is that I'm only halfway through Goblet of Fire at the moment - I wanted to have reread the graveyard scene by the time I wrote this, but I don't want to spoil the momentum of reading so the Voldemort bits are from my memory of his voice and feel a bit off to me.

Such a juicy, heart-clenching instalment! And awesome that you've been planning this for so long.

See, slightly more coherent now that I got the capslock out of my system. :)

When I say planning, I mean that I've known for a while that there would be a final showdown with Voldemort. I didn't have a clue how I was going to get there until they turned into pirates and I worked out it was all in the paintings. Even then, I thought the final showdown would be in Grimmauld Place and the paintings would only be a shortcut to get there.

It's brilliant how writing stories takes you through such twists and turns. :)
