is over here
This could have been a hard prompt, but after a moment I remembered that I needed to push the portrait plot forward and a portrait of St Rocco could be just the thing. The idea of Sirius being friendly with this particular portrait amused me and lewd, rude Rocco came from there. In deference to the actual legend, I did stick in a mention of a more decorous portrait as well.
The wands Remus summons belong to, in order, James (mahogany), Peter (chestnut), Dumbledore (elder), Lily (Willow) and Sirius (oak). The only ones which aren't canon are Remus' and Sirius'. I chose willow for Remus because it is traditionally associated with the moon, with renewal and new beginnings, with healing and with the grief of forsaken lovers. Oak is a royal tree, associated with strength and protection, and was believed to more prone to lightning strikes than other trees (good site on the folklore and historical role of different trees here - I really like this site).
Remus rediscovered his backbone in this one, which was a good thing. Having Peter recognise just how pissed off he is and try to control James amused me - I think Remus and Peter divide up the damage limitation chores this way quite often.
