I haven't really fallen out of the ship, but new fic from you still feels like a revelation. I particularly loved as if he can taste the bright, mixed blood below that pale skin. In my mind, part of Sirius's attraction to Remus rises from the taboo of mingling with "inferior" blood. Surely Sirius loves him for himself, but I think Remus is something of a symbol for Sirius, as well. Three cheers for this fic and your rediscovered enthusiasm for R/S!
