Thank you for all the comments. I would have given up on this in February if it hadn't been for all the lovely comments. I'm glad you enjoyed it. It was great fun to write, though it might be a while before I tackle something on this scale again.

I think the times of celebration would have been like this - sincere but slightly brittle.
