My well-deserved penalty for being so late to review is having all the things I liked commented on already and wondering what to say other than I really liked this... :-). But I will just have to second/third/whatever appreciation of the way you convey the atmosphere of old friendship. I loved your comment about living in a 'dinner party place' - know that too. And the Arthurian ref was lovely. And, ooh! (gets ridiculously excited at finding something original to say) the little detail about the perils of pureblood dining with Abraxas Malfoy was great - particularly Andromeda and Sirius' shared thankfulness for escaping all of that.
